Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water is the third studio album by American nu metal band Limp Bizkit, released on 17 October 2000. It is one of the fastest-selling rock albums in history, moving over 1 million copies in its first week.

The Story Behind the Title
The unusual name is a combination of two separate inside jokes:
  • Chocolate Starfish: A slang term for the human anus. According to guitarist Wes Borland, frontman Fred Durst began calling himself the "Chocolate Starfish" because people frequently referred to him as an "asshole".
  • Hot Dog Flavored Water: An idea sparked by Borland while at a truck stop during a tour. After seeing a variety of flavored waters, he jokingly wondered if they also sold "meat-flavored" or "hot dog-flavored" water.
