Slipknot is an American heavy metal band from Des Moines, Iowa, formed in 1995. They are globally recognised for their aggressive musical style, attention-grabbing masks, and high-energy live performances.

• New Album "Cooking": As of early 2026, the band is actively working on their eighth studio album, the follow-up to 2022's The End, So Far. New drummer Eloy Casagrande and guitarist Jim Root have confirmed that the band has been "cooking" and jamming on many new ideas, including a recorded track titled "Long May You Die".
• "Look Outside Your Window" Release: The legendary "lost" experimental album—recorded during the All Hope Is Gone sessions by Corey Taylor, Clown, Jim Root, and Sid Wilson—is finally scheduled for release on Record Store Day, 18 April 2026.
• 25th Anniversary Celebration: Having celebrated the 25th anniversary of their self-titled debut in 2024, the band continues to sport a "classic" visual look in 2026, featuring elements of their original 1999 masks and red jumpsuits.
