Ascendancy is the second studio album by American heavy metal band Trivium, released on March 15, 2005, through Roadrunner Records. It is widely celebrated as a definitive masterpiece of the 2000s metalcore era, blending thrash metal speed with melodic death metal harmonies and hardcore aggression.
